The Stone
Worked in brown yarn
Rnd 1; Magic circle 6 sc or alternatively ch 4 & slst into the 3rd st from the hook, ch 1 & work 6sc into the circle (6)
Rnd 2; 2sc into each st around (12)
Rnd 3; sc into each st around (12)
Change to the light green yarn for the pulp.
The Pulp
Rnd 4; *sc 1, 2sc into the next st* - repeat around (18)
Rnd 5; *sc 2, 2sc into the the next stitch* - repeat around (24)
Rnd 6; *sc 3, 2sc into the next stitch* - repeat around (30)
Rnd 7; *sc 4, 2sc into the next stitch* - repeat around, ch 1 & turn (36 + turning ch)
Rnd 8-12; sc 8 st, ch 1, turn
Rnd 13; sc 8 st - Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew up.
The Peel
Using dark green yarn
Rnd 1; Magic circle 6 sts or alternatively ch 4 & slst into the 4th st from the hook, ch 1 & work 6 sc into the circle (6)
Rnd 2; 2sc into each st around (12)
Rnd 3; *sc 1, 2sc into the next stitch* - repeat around (18)
Rnd 4; *sc 2, 2sc into the the next stitch* - repeat around (24)
Rnd 5; *sc 3, 2sc into the next stitch* - repeat around (30)
Rnd 6; *sc 4, 2sc into the next stitch* - repeat around - ch 1 & turn (36 + turning ch)
Rnd 7-12; sc 8 st, ch 1, turn
Now working into the side of the stitches we are going to work around the whole perimeter
Rnd 13 - 15; sc around (52)
Fasten off & leave a long tail for sewing up.
Assembly
Place the toy safety eyes or embroider them.
Sew on the smile.
Stitch the avocado ‘peel’ to the ‘pulp’ section - leave space to stuff
Stuff & finish sewing up.
